A Good Day!

Today has been an excellent day, as days go. To start with, my neighbor let me watch her 4 month old baby while she ran some errands-- now most would say, "that's a good thing?" but you see, I had a misscarriage 6 weeks ago and I am so baby hungry right now that any baby is a good thing :-). But the best part is that she watched my two while I ran some errands!!!! It is so nice to pretend - even if it is only for an hour - that you have all the time in the world without having to fight little hands grabbing at everything and little voices whining "can we go home yet?!"

Yesterday I changed my baby's crib (well not so baby any more) into a toddler bed -- hoping against hope that she would still stay in it -- she was so excited!!! And to my amazement only got up once last night and only once today before her nap -- WOW how lucky am I!!!!!! She is now 2 1/2 and growing way too fast!!!

Another good piece of news is that my husband just got offered a job -- he has been out of work just doing odds and ends since May -- and to top it off, it isn't just contractual work it is an actual salaried position!!!! (I don't think he has EVER been on salary!!)

The only down side today is that I am once again in limbo with my work. I have completed the project for witch I was hired and am waiting to see if they like my work well enough to give me an even bigger project. I am pretty confident that they will -- I just hate the waiting game (not to mention I'm not making any money waiting).

Recently we spent an evening at Wheeler Farm, thus the tractor and scarecrows in the pictures ;-). I thought they were rather cute so I figured I'd add them to my first post.

Becca, Brooke and Mom had a great time at Daxton & Alexia's birthday party at Bouncing Off the Walls. There was a slide that was about a story and a half tall -- both girls insisted on mom accompaning them down the first time -- it was high enough it even took my breath away for a second -- but after a couple of times down they both insisted on doing it by themselves. Wow, they've grown!!! Even a few months ago Becca would never have even considered going down this with mom but now look at her!!!
